Outdoor learning

At Sally's we spend 80% of our time outdoors. Our curriculum is supported by developing problem solving skills, motor skills, self independence and initiative.

It also has the added benefit of promoting good health.

Organic approach

At Sally's we encourage all age groups to learn and play together. This is especially noticed during school holidays.

By taking this approach it has really helped us to develop into a true home from home environment.

Hygge

Hygge originates from Denmark and Scandinavia. Hygge promotes a way of life to enjoy happiness and good mental health. This helps children to feel happy and secure which in turn helps children to love learning. This way of life has been shown to be followed onto adulthood.

We are highly trained

Seen as the gold standard for those working in childcare Sally has held the NNEB Qualification since 1984. 

Showing further showing commitment to the growth and wellbeing of children in 2022 Sally gained the accreditation of Hygge in the Early Years.

Her nickname may be Mary Poppins, but as far as I am concerned Mary Poppins should be honoured to be compared to Sally! 

She provides a loving home from home environment, home cooked food and a fantastic array of interesting and educational activities for all the children she looks after. She is the most flexible and accommodating childminder I have ever come across and I feel very lucky that my son and I have had her in our lives since he was a tiny baby. All the staff and children at Sallys are amazing and whilst we have now moved away from the area, we still return in the school holidays as nowhere else will ever come close xx

Sallys house is very much a home from home, a place where both my kids have thrived, whilst making new friends along the way.  Sally and her team  go above and beyond to make the children (and the parents) very happy. We are especially grateful for the extra care Sally provides to held my youngest with his speech delay. Sam also benefits from being taken to weekly swimming lessons, yoga, and forest school. We couldn’t be happier with our choice of childcare.
